Training Terror

“Grrr…” was the sound of the grizzly bear that found Shawn O’ Sullivan all alone in the deep Coniferous forest of northern Alaska. It was beautiful there since you could see the Northern Lights from there. Although, the weather was very chilly. For example, today was a very cold and damp day. It soon started to rain with thunder and lightning! Definitely no place for a baby to be all alone with a bear. Especially since everything was slippery and wet, and sharp branches everywhere, and darkness. Anyway, this was no ordinary bear, this was a mama bear! Therefore, she was a kind and careful grizzly. So, instead of just taking the baby, she took the whole leaf with her teeth. And there started the life of Shawn O’ Sullivan, in the mama bear’s cave 2 miles from where Shawn was.
Shawn was crying, but for no other reason of him being scared. He had a family and home now, so he should be happy. When they got home, the grizzly put him carefully next to her cubs. Shawn O’ Sullivan felt a little left out but he didn’t mind much. After all, he was the one who was brought there.
Over time, Shawn got a little more comfortable with his family members. They were like the three little bears except with one human being. Every day he went out to play with the little cubs. The mama grizzly bear fed him every day. Shawn always saw when the grizzly cached its prey. This is how Shawn learned to hunt. He soon stopped hunting because his love for animals grew very strong in little time. When Shawn turned 18, he left the bear family and promised them he would give them the best home in the world. Even better than the Disney Castle! He made this promise because there were many lumberjacks in the forest and he didn’t want his family to be in danger.
When Shawn O’ Sullivan was finally 24, he got the job of being a zookeeper. His intelligence replaced the brains of 500 people. He was amazing at it and loved it! Shawn was smarter than Einstein! His job at the zoo was to tame and train wild animals. He was an expert at it. He was 200 feet tall but has never crushed a bug. His intelligence, strength, and blue eyes made him perfect for the job. Especially since he had the heart of 100 men. In addition, Shawn is as strong or even stronger than a mustang. Furthermore, the snap of his fingers is heard by all the animals of the world no matter where they are. It tells all of them to listen to Shawn. For the animals, it was very understandable, just like how addition is to us. Shawn’s hands and motions replaced his words to the animals, it was their language.
Shawn also found a very beautiful parrot. She repeated everything he said, and obeyed him. This is how they became best friends. Shawn even named her Rain. He also promised her they’d be together till the end.
At the zoo, Shawn was obsessed with getting everything done, mostly his jobs he needed to get done. He believed that every animal could be trained. He, on the other hand, had one fear, and that was to train a full-grown, male wildcat.
“Is Shawn a little baby? One that’s scared of big cats?” his co-worker asked quietly in a baby voice.
“No.” Shawn responded lying. He just didn’t want his co-worker to make fun of him anymore.
“Looks like somebody’s lying” His co-worker said again a little louder and more maturely than before.
“I’m not.” Shawn answered looking down. “This is so embarrassing!” he thought, “I can’t believe someone I work with is making fun of me like this!”
“Liar liar pants on fire!” His co-worker said again. He was acting like a baby again, annoying Shawn.
“Stop it. Now.” Shawn said, a little more bravely this time.
“Why? Are you embarrassed that your little friend is picking on you?” his co-worker asked.
“No I’m not. You’re just annoying me so stop it.” Shawn said again, this time a little angry.
“Okay. Fine. Whatever.” His co-worker said about to leave.
“Finally. Thank you.” Shawn said thankfully.
“But wait!” His co-worker yelled behind him.
“What?” Shawn asked.
“I dare you, to train a full-grown male tiger.” his co-worker said smiling.
“That’s okay. I could do it.” Shawn answered and left terrified of what was about to come for him. Shawn’s co-worker dared him to train a tiger. So Shawn wasn’t going to sit back. That was when an orange striped, 400 pound tiger came growling at Shawn.
Shawn wasn’t going to give up, but he definitely knew he couldn’t do it all alone. That night, he told Rain to find a trained female tiger named Dark. Dark obeyed and was put in a cage alone with Fire. Rain told Dark what to tell Fire. All together they accomplished Shawn’s biggest challenge. This is how Shawn proved to his co-worker that he could do anything. Dark and Fire even started a family together. This reminded Shawn of his bear family and his promise.
Shawn luckily found the bears and gave them the best home in the world. It was right next to the tiger’s home in the zoo. Then came the day of Shawn and Rain’s birthday. It was the 21st of April. Shawn was on his way to get one of the baby tigers to give him a bath. The last thing Shawn ever saw was a huge tiger paw on his face. It was Fire’s paw trying to defend his son. Fire’s son did get defended, but Fire defended too much since Shawn is no longer alive on this planet.
